Welcome to Highland Middle School! My name is Britton Sullivan and I am privileged to serve as Principal of Highland Middle School. The children and families that we serve are my top priority and we are focused on creating the best educational learning environment for our students! This is my 25th year in education and 16th year with Harnett County Schools. I graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Social Work before earning my Masters Degree from Campbell University in Education. I spent 12 years as a classroom teacher in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grades, in Sampson and Harnett Counties, in North Carolina and in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I served as Assistant Principal at Overhills Elementary four years and South Harnett Elementary for a little over a year. For two years, I served as Principal at Buies Creek Elementary before moving to Highland Middle. I am a widow and have four children of my own, three girls, ages 26, 21, 19, and the youngest one, a boy, age 14. My children are all graduates or students of Harnett County Schools. I enjoy working closely with all the staff, students, parents, and community members each and every year to make Highland Middle School the best place to be. I encourage communication between home and school and always want to hear your input on how we can improve and continue to grow as a school.
