Meet the Teacher

Mr. Chad Haggard

Mr. Chad Haggard

I am excited to be the Physical Education (PE) teacher at South Harnett Elementary School (SHES).  I am in my Fourth year at SHES, and am excited to work with such an excellent group of students and staff!

Prior to coming to SHES, I was the PE teacher at Anderson Creek Academy for five years, where I also served as the math remediation teacher.

I am originally from Kentucky, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree at the University of Louisville in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in PE and Health.  I then attended Morehead State University to earn my Master's of Arts in Teaching PE and Health Education. In 2022 I completed my School Leadership Certification.

Throughout high school I played golf, and helped as a Statistician for the Girl's basketball team. My life has always revolved around sports and fitness in some shape or form. I want to be able to transfer the skills that I have learned to bring a passion for fitness and sports for my PE students.
