Art Classes consist of three main components: academic, physical effort, and self-expression. Each one of the components is essential to progress in developing skills and understanding Art concepts.
The academic component is the understanding of Art terminology and History. Students must attend classes daily to understand how the terminology is being applied in a particular project and demonstrate their ability to use it.
Physical effort takes place when students make serious attempts to complete their demonstration of Art concepts and to improve those attempts by making corrections.
Self-expression is the most important aspect of Art class. It takes place when a student goes beyond simply demonstrating the concept of the project and explores individual potential. This is a unique experience that students choose and control when a proper amount of effort is applied.
