I am a retired veteran from the US Army with over 20 years of military experience. I have 3 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I worked with the Department of Social Services for 5 years working with Families and children from diverse backgrounds. I earned a PH. D in Education from Northcentral University, a Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling, and a Master of Arts in Human Service Counseling: Military Resilience from Liberty University. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Education, from Liberty University. I am a native of Fayetteville, NC, and am currently a Special Education Teacher with Harnett County Schools. 

 As a Special Education teacher, I believe education has the power to transform lives, and I want to be a part of that process. I want to create a creative and growing environment where students can explore their curiosity and reach their fullest potential. My intention is to be a positive role model for students guiding them through challenges and encouraging their growth. My goal is to collaborate with families and teams, working closely with parents, therapists, and general education teachers to develop and implement IEPs fostering a strong collaborative environment focused on the student's best interests. As a Special education teacher, I will advocate for students' needs, ensuring they receive appropriate support and access to education, which can empower students to learn and advocate for themselves.

Google Classroom is utilized for classroom instruction, communication and collaboration. Students use their Harnettstudents.org Google accounts to have access to assignments, resources, and content. Using the Internet, students have access anytime and anywhere to posted assignments, due dates, as well as supporting curriculum resources.
