Congratulations to Ms. Tiffany Artis, newly appointed principal of Lillington-Shawtown Elementary School!
Ms. Artis grew up in the Overhills community and graduated from Western Harnett High School.
She earned both her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and master’s degree in School Administration at Campbell University.
She has 19 years of experience as a Harnett County educator and has served as a teacher assistant, classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal. She has worked with elementary, middle, and high school students. She is looking forward to returning to Lillington-Shawtown as the principal.
Her goals are to support teachers in providing differentiated instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. She wants to help students develop goals for life beyond school, and to work with families to support learning in the home.
Tiffany Artis believes in her heart that “all students can learn and have different strengths and gifts that will benefit all. As an educator, it is my responsibility to meet students where they are and to provide a safe and nurturing environment in which they can thrive and develop a love of learning.”
We are grateful for her service to Harnett County Schools and wish her all the best at LSES!
